Sisterly Love

Sisters... many shared traits and charms but each with their own personality. The same is true of The Trove and our sister store, The FIND. While we do share some of the same brands and products, we also take great care in curating a unique selection of goods for each store. If you haven't shopped The FIND recently, now's the time to swing in to #DTFW, which is beautifully decorated and sparkling for the season.

Bring your receipt from The Trove to The FIND to receive 30% off one item (excluding Barefoot Dreams and Ambre). Did we mention this works the other way around, too? What we're saying is, come shop both sisters!

Neighbors in #thenoke: Paper Moon

paper moon roanoke

We adore the spirit and vibe of Roanoke and count our fellow merchants as both friends and partners in the continued growth of the town. As charming as the classic song by the same name, Paper Moon in Roanoke is one of the town's most beloved shops. Located just down the street and around the corner from us, this darling shop stocks goods both old and new. On the first floor, you'll find the softest stuffed animals, toys (both vintage and new) and baby keepsakes, books, greeting cards and other paper goods, jewelry, accessories and home decor accents. The second floor is home to a fantastically curated collection of vintage furniture.

Paper Moon is beautifully stocked for the holidays with the coveted bottle brush trees and other decor, gifts and stocking stuffers, ornaments, advent calendars and a lovely selection of wrapping paper and other accoutrements.

Owner Stephanie McKibben is one of #thenoke's most dedicated merchants, with not one but two businesses in town. Moose & Mollie's, just a hop and a skip across the street from Paper Moon, is our go-to spot for coffee drinks, light lunches, creamy gelato and candy (we're obsessed with the chocolate-covered gummy bears).

Next time you come see us in #thenoke, be sure to shop Paper Moon and grab a cuppa from Moose & Mollies!

Neighbors in #thenoke: Fearless Cook

Laura Wilson has been treating Northeast Indiana and far, far beyond to her gourmet delights for decades. The Le Cordon Bleu trained chef is talented, kind, driven and generous, and her presence in Roanoke is oh so valued.

With La Dolce Vita, Wilson has been offering cooking classes, European food tours and Wednesday lunches to die for, in addition to a curated selection of cooking implements and entertaining staples.

But her latest venture is Fearless Cook, located just a hop and a skip from La Dolce Vita. This new boutique with a mission stocks the greatest kitchen tools like whisks, spoons, spatulas, bar equipment, knives, linens, aprons and locally made wooden bowls, cutting boards and cheese boards. You'll also find a well-edited selection of coffees and teas and various accoutrement for flawless brewing.

Says Wilson, "Together we are going to be fearless in the kitchen. All cooking takes is a good palate and no fear. No fear of failing, burning, pots overflowing, or scalding. Just get in there and cook for your family and friends. If you make a mess, you will learn from it, so chalk that up to a good thing! We have all the tools you need to make and bake with ingredients you can actually pronounce giving you the courage to feed your friends and family with delicious creations and love!"

We adore Chef Laura Wilson, La Dolce Vita and Fearless Cook. Click below to learn more about all of Wilson's gourmet offerings in #thenoke!

Indiana State Pride

Hoosiers are we --- and proud to be! We adore #thenoke and #DTFW. We're passionate about Northeast Indiana and the whole d@mn state. We know the Midwest is a gem and has lots to offer. AND, we're happy to scream it from the rooftops whenever we get the chance.

We Trovesters travel - a lot. We love seeing foreign lands, experiencing other cultures, learning new traditions and that's not likely to change. We're all explorers at heart. Perhaps the coming Fourth of July weekend has us feeling patriotic. We know America is a diverse and beautiful country with amazing assets in every state, within every region, on every coast. But we're always happy to return home at the end of any journey, because our Indiana lives are just as rich with family, great friends and the diverse beauty of our home state.

We have so much Indiana pride running through our veins and tons of Midwestern goodness in store. Come shop The Trove and show your love for the crossroads of America.

Personalized Presents

There are few gifts as thoughtful as those that are personalized. Giving such an item means you've put effort and time into the gift, which is sometimes more treasured by the recipient than the item itself. We're beyond happy to have partnered with local small biz, A + D Monogram Design, to bring you fun, modern ways to customize everyday items, elevating them into stylish, coveted pieces.

A + D Monogram Designs offers chic, clear acrylic keychains, business card holders and pencil cups for you to emblazon. Or, adorn your car door, laptop, phones and tablets or S'well bottles. With a multitude of color options and monogram styles, printed on premium adhesive nylon, the only thing holding you back is your imagination.

There's still time left to line up some personalized presents for your stylish loved ones. Stop by The Trove ASAP to get your custom monograms then just pretend you did it ages ago...

We're open Tuesday and Wednesday from 11 - 5pm and Thursday from 11 - 3pm. See you soon!

#ShopSmallSelfie Contest

We had an absolute blast celebrating Small Business Saturday last weekend. Our store in Roanoke was packed, as was our downtown Fort Wayne pop up shop at The City Exchange. We were beyond excited to see so many happy shoppers supporting small stores, brands and artisans. It made our entrepreneurial spirits soar!

We hosted a fun giveaway of locally made products featuring Best Boy & Co., Hedgehog Press, FoxSea Skin, Second Chance Farms and Melani Wilson Designs. The lucky winner was Renee Densel, who posted a picture of her pretty, newly monogrammed (in-house by A+D Monogramming) S'well bottle!

Congrats, Renee! Thanks for shopping small!
