Help us clean up #thenoke!
Reusser Design and The Powers of One are excited to launch “Keep Roanoke Beautiful” on May 21, 2016. This event will be held in conjunction with the national program Great American Clean-Up.
All of us have invested blood, sweat, tears, time, and money to live/work in our beautiful little town of Roanoke. All of these efforts have impacted our community in a tremendous way, and our commitment to growing and expanding Roanoke is bringing people into town to enjoy and experience our small town hospitality. We are excited to launch this event and get merchants and residents involved — we want business owners, employees, parents, and kids to all participate! We will focus on “sprucing” up throughout the downtown area by pulling weeds, picking up garbage, cleaning street light covers, spreading mulch, etc…..there are lots of little things that will make a big impact!!
If you’re interested in getting involved but don’t know how, just say “Yes!” to helping us clean up our downtown area by giving some of your time on Saturday morning, May 21st. If you have an hour of free time, that’s great! If you have all day to help, that’s great, too! We will graciously accept however much time you have to give. We know time is precious, so that’s why we are asking for everyone to get involved — this will multiply efforts and reduce the total amount of time we have to spend on Saturday, May 21st.
If you are able to help, we are asking that folks bring the following to assist in the clean-up:
- Shovels, other garden tools
Reusser Design is donating t-shirts to everyone who volunteers for “Keep Roanoke Beautiful.” Additionally, The Powers of One will provide refreshments for volunteers throughout the downtown Roanoke area — coffee, tea, water, and light snacks!
Visit http://cleanup.discoverroanoke.org/ and say “Yes!” to being part of this day. Invite your employees, co-workers, friends, and family to get involved. To ensure you get a t-shirt, you must commit to the day and provide your t-shirt size through the registration link.
